About Playground

Playground is made by Vira Technologies LLC, a small U.S. studio run by Luke Turner. The site started as a place to put the car-dealer tools Luke wanted for his own desk, grew a set of browser games built for phones and short breaks, and then picked up three news desks written in plain English. Everything here is free to use, there are no ads, and nothing asks you to install anything.

How the site is funded

It isn't, yet. Vira Technologies pays the hosting. There are no ads, no affiliate links in the news desks, and no paid placements. If that changes, it will say so on this page first. The news desks name every source and say who funds that source, because that is the standard we would want from anyone else.

Your data

Game progress, coins and settings live in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you use the export button on the home page.
The calculators (car payment, mortgage, dealer tools) run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or fingerprinting.
Sign-up forms go through Netlify Forms and are used only to send the thing you signed up for.

Sources and corrections

The WoW Forever pages read their talent, racial and spell text from the beta client via talentsforever.com (CC BY 4.0) and check every balance line against Blizzard's own patch notes. Finance figures come from the Treasury, the Federal Reserve, Freddie Mac, the BLS, the EIA and the CBO, each dated on the page. If something is wrong, use the form below and say which page; corrections get made the same day.
