Lumen Bible Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
Lumen Bible does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any information about you. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics.
What stays on your device
Your chosen tradition and translation, settings, bookmarks, highlights, notes, prayer intentions and reading progress are saved only inside the app on your iPhone or iPad. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.
No connection needed
Every Bible translation, prayer and calendar is built into the app. Lumen Bible does not connect to the internet to work. If you tap a link to a website, it opens in Safari, and that site’s own privacy policy applies.
Permissions you can choose to give
- Camera: used only if you choose to take a photo to add to a note. The photo is saved in that note on your device.
- Photos: you can pick a photo to add to a note, and Lumen asks for permission to add a picture to your library only when you choose Save Image on a shared verse.
You can change these permissions at any time in the Settings app.
Sharing, printing and reading aloud
When you share a verse or export a note, Lumen Bible hands it to the iOS share sheet or print dialog, and you choose where it goes. Reading aloud uses the voices built into iOS.
Children
Lumen Bible collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Questions are welcome through the Playground contact page.
