Addons & macros
Forever runs on the modern addon interface (interface number 16001, game version 1.60.1). A Classic Era addon only loads if its author ships a Forever file, so on CurseForge look for the file tagged Forever. Automation that acts without your input is not allowed; guides, trackers and UI mods are.

Install
- Download the file tagged Forever (game version 1.60.1).
- Unzip into
World of Warcraft/_forever_/Interface/AddOns/(the Forever client has its own folder beside_classic_era_and_retail_; the folder that holds the.tocfile goes directly inside AddOns). - Fully restart the client. New addons are only picked up at launch, not on /reload.
- Open AddOns on the character screen and tick the box. If an addon shows as out of date, tick "Load out of date AddOns" once and check again after the launch client ships.
The beta bug: on client 1.60.1 the game writes SavedVariables but never reads them back, so every /reload or login reset an addon's settings and guide step. Blizzard has not acknowledged it; the fix is expected in the November 4 launch client. Until it is confirmed fixed, re-check map and guide settings each login.
Macro basics
Type /macro, click New, paste. #showtooltip shows the spell icon and cooldown; [@mouseover] and [@target] conditionals work in Forever's modern macro system; /stopcasting and /cast !Spell behave as in Classic.

Spell names must match Forever's spellbook exactly; if a macro does nothing, check the Classic vs Forever page for the renamed or reworked ability.
