Reputations
16 new factions in Forever, read from beta build 1.60.1.70532, next to the Classic reputations that still gate the best enchants, mounts and PvP gear. Beta rewards can change at launch; this page is refreshed as the live client and Blizzard posts fill in the gaps.
Skyborne characters start Friendly with their own side's Skywall faction and Hated with the other; Barkskin Burrow starts Hostile for everyone. The client does not record how a faction's reputation is earned (that lives on Blizzard's servers), so the sources above are inferred from zone and quest data until launch. Nine reputation-gated items in the beta point to no faction yet, and 25 listed factions have no items at all; expect the list to change on November 4 and in the first patches.

Where to start at 60
- Melee: Timbermaw Hold to Revered for the Agility weapon enchants, Thorium Brotherhood to Honored for +15 Strength, Argent Dawn to Revered for Consecrated Sharpening Stones before Naxx.
- Casters and healers: Thorium Brotherhood Friendly (Brilliant Wizard Oil recipe), Argent Dawn Revered (Blessed Wizard Oil), Shen'dralar for Arcanum of Focus.
- Tanks: Argent Dawn Revered for Chromatic Mantle of the Dawn, Cenarion Circle for the Dodge and Threat enchants later, The Watchers for the Stalwart signet if Alcaz Prison is your dungeon.
- PvP: the Darkspear Islands factions have a full Friendly-to-Exalted ladder; AV Exalted for the mount, AB Exalted for the bracers and necklace.
- Everyone: Guardians of Hyjal to Revered for the Rousing Seed Pod (a second Artisan's Tier item), and your home city to Exalted if you want another race's mount.
