What it means
- US additions slowed from 4,618 ports in Q2 to 4,106 in Q3 as NEVI funding stalled and Tesla raised prices; Tesla still built almost a third of new ports.
- China adds more connectors in a month (554,000) than the US has fast ports in total; most are private home chargers.
- The US network passed 250,000 total public ports (Level 2 + DC) in 2026 per AFDC.
