EV range converter
Chinese spec sheets quote CLTC, European ones WLTP, American ones EPA, and they are not the same test. Type any figure and get the others, in km or miles, plus a highway and winter estimate.
Convert
Factors: CLTC × 0.72 = EPA, WLTP × 0.88 = EPA, NEDC × 0.70, JC08 × 0.68. Highway: −1.2% per mph over 60. Cold: −0.6% per °F under 50, heat pump assumed. Typical, not guaranteed.

—at your temperature, highway
Why the cycles differ
| Cycle | Where | Average speed | Top speed | Idle share | Typical vs EPA |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CLTC (China Light-duty Test Cycle, 2021) | China | 29 km/h | 114 km/h | 22% | +35–40% (×0.72) |
| WLTP (2017) | EU, UK, most of Asia | 47 km/h | 131 km/h | 13% | +10–15% (×0.88) |
| EPA (5-cycle or 2-cycle × 0.7) | US, Canada | mixed, incl. 80 mph and A/C | 129 km/h | — | baseline |
| NEDC (retired) | EU to 2017, China to 2021 | 34 km/h | 120 km/h | 24% | +40% (×0.70) |
CLTC's low average speed and long idle time suit EVs, which use almost nothing at rest and little at 30 km/h; EPA's cycle adds a 0.7 adjustment factor that approximates highway driving, air-conditioning and cold. Neither is wrong, they measure different driving.
