Beast Mastery makes the pet the star. Unleashed Fury and Ferocity buff its damage and crit, Frenzy speeds it up, and Bestial Wrath is the burst cooldown. Marksmanship points add Lethal Attacks crit, Efficiency mana and Mortal Shots.

Rotation

Opener: Hunter's Mark, send the pet, Aspect of the Hawk, Serpent Sting, Aimed Shot, Multi-Shot, then auto-shot weaving.

Priority: Never clip auto-shot: Aimed Shot and Multi-Shot only when the next auto is 1.5 s away; Arcane Shot as a filler at close range; Serpent Sting on long fights. Pet on Growl-off, Claw or Bite on cooldown.

Cooldowns: Bestial Wrath + Rapid Fire together; Intimidation for pet threat; Feign Death when you pass the tank.

Forever notes: The Nov 2 notes doubled Aimed Shot's bonus, raised Arcane Shot and Serpent Sting, and buffed Aspect of the Hawk; the Nov 3 hotfix put those numbers live. Hunters are stronger than Classic at every level.

Stats

Agility (attack power and crit), Hit to 9%, Crit, then Intellect (Careful Aim if you took it) and Stamina for the pet-swap moments.

Pet talents matter as much as yours; keep the pet at your level and fed.
